Right now the Lazada/Shopee/Qoo10 situation with sellers trying to make a quick buck off Aliexpress mass production OEMs, is at an untenable state. Literally dozens of random named sellers peddling OEM electronics on these platforms.

Yup I've seen many sellers with no ratings selling the same items, even using same product images. Most of the time I prefer to set filter to sg sellers only. But sometimes no choice, only china sellers are selling.

Ya many use the same product images, then call it their own bullshit OEM name... like those mini/palm-sized home projectors doing 1080p for around $45-$90. Then those who somehow successfully separate themselves from the rest of the pack, have more feedback/ratings, they cleverly raise their prices and promote "reliability" etc.

I think people see that these things are popular so they jump onto the gravy train.

Another laz cn seller used the same excuse, listen til I sians. Due to huge orders, we will send by order date. Really? Is everyone mass ordering display cabinet led lights? I don't think I can get by 24th June. It's still processing and cannot cancel. I placed order on 10th. I might as well go ikea get led strips and drill holes on my shelves. Going wireless gave me more trouble than wired. This is already the 2nd seller. First one cancel after a week+ of processing.

So many excuses :lol: Cannot deliver just cancel and refund. Laz don't even allow me to cancel. System says it's on the way, either reject at doorstep or send back to warehouse. But cainiao tracking show wrapped for pickup for so long liao. I seldom have to cancel Laz orders. Didn't know their cancellation sucks. The received by x date is bs. So far I have no issues with Alixpress and Taobao sellers. They always sent within 48hrs and even pm me to check if I had received the goods. Iirc Alixpress got auto cancellation if seller cannot ship within 5 days.

I had enough of waiting. Supposed to be delivered on 24th but still haven't ship yet and system does not allow me to cancel on my side. I would avoid cn sellers on laz from now on. Ship on time ratings can't be trusted. 2 cn sellers wasted 1month of my time.

I installed Taobao, placed order, and within hours seller ship out already. Finally I can complete my display cabinet soon. Laz was a bad choice to begin with. Order cancellation for straightforward cases take so long to resolve even when item is not in transit but have not even been handed over to logistics for more than 2 weeks.

ALOT of sellers on Laz/Qoo10/Shopee are just chinese nationals re-posting TB products. In fact "top" Qoo10 sellers often have FB "masterclass workshop" ads featuring these super sellers on Qoo10 and they advocate doing exactly that: finding a product on sale somewhere else, then relisting it, essentially playing a concierge role.

Laz got time to notify me to add payment method for 2nd year Liveup sub but haven't got time to settle my order cancellation. My last email from them was on last fri, mentioned that pertinent dept approved liao but doing necessary adjustment so there won't be anymore delay. Just checked status and it's still processing, packed for pickup. Seller can take their own sweet time to ship, no penalties or auto system cancellation. If seller cancel order after 11days, process is immediate but if buyer were to cancel, it takes damn long. In both cases, items have not even leave cn warehouse. I have always believe in their delivered by x date. Not anymore. Placed on 10th June, deliver by 24th latest. Waited 2 more days. Report on 26th. Today 1st July liao. Look at their speed. Im not talking about refund processing, it has not even enter order cancellation stage.

Interesting... seems like heng-suay. Couple days ago I received a $2.99 speaker from Shopee. Shop listing shows the speaker has a 3.5mm AUX jack for input. Received item does not. I filed refund, seller dispute. I reply to Shopee email with photos of the shop listing and my received item. In a couple of hours I received notification refund approved.

It was then I discovered there's such a thing as micro-USB AUX audio input.

Shopee cancel and refund is always fast. I just don't like how sellers can just reject request without providing any sort of valid reason. Or at least vet by a live agent. I also didn't know about micro aux :lol:

In fact since the beginning of 2019, I seldom use Laz anymore because the daily bank promo codes are gone.

Not cancel and refund. I received the item, filed dispute. Seller disputed citing "don't see any problem", escalated to Shopee which requested me for more evidence. After I sent them photos then they approved the refund request.

They took a long time to process the cancellation. Lots of excuses then finally decided to give me a voucher first followed by a refund at a later date. I replied okay and thought it was appropriate since I waited so long. Next day they emailed again say refund approved, sent twice wall of text apology letter without voucher. So I asked where is the voucher? Reply I got was because refund had processed before I confirm with them that I want the voucher so now they are unable to issue the voucher. Note that I replied immediately 1min after I received the email. 1min too long? I also not so gian peng, don't wish to continue the conversation anymore. Initially I thought service not bad, okay I will continue sub 2nd year since my family use redmart very often despite rebates lowered, no free shipping on laz, $10 more for sub fee $59.90 now instead of $49.90. No control over overseas orders. I think I am done with laz. Let my other family members go sub if they want.
