some shops, such as gamewerks, is selling switch console with zelda only, for 619.
There is nothing i want to play on this console, seeing the launch titles and titles in the pipeline, so probably will wait 2 years later then see if a NEW Switch XL becomes available (the current screen size is the same as the wii u game pad) or how the online pans out.

Lowest I have seen now is 599 on my FB wall. Think it was Gwerks. QS will likely crush everyone with the lowest price.
For serious fans only imho. When Razer made the Edge it failed even with the Android library at its disposal. Dunno maybe Razer was ahead of its time but Sony tried something similar w Remote Play and supported devices with DS4 and even an accessory, but I really wonder who will buy a mobile gaming device that lasts only 3 hours and then play the same mobile game at home.
Do I wish I can play my tv screen games on the go? Not really no, unless I can replicate the big screen experience eg via Google Glass or VR cinema mode.

My friend said he intends to get it to play fifa, as he can play it in the office, and then bring home and dock it, so that he can play on big screen. If that floats his boat, then good for him. To me, it is all about the games. I bought the wii u and although the games are limited, I at least have a bit north of 10 games which I really like, and regularly play, with a couple still sealed.
At the present moment, and from the games in the pipeline, nothing excites me and screams DAY one or even Year one for me loh.
After my experience with QS for the PS4 (and I accompanied said friend above to collect his New 3DS XL from QS), I rather buy from gwerks or WGS for future consoles. The long queue and inconsistent support... I just say, can buy games/preowns from QS, but not big launch titles or consoles just to save a few bucks.

Fair enough sometimes I do entertain the idea of playing my PS4 games on the go, but each time I think about it I realise the extent of my usage is mostly to collect daily rewards or somesuch rather than actually play.
The Switch has a 9" inch display right? Didn't you buy the Shield?
Fri Feb 17, 2017 2:25 pm
Yes, I have the Shield Tablet and I used it mainly for remote play in the office. but also, in reality, not much time to play, or the connection is not robust enough for quality gaming.

I thought the Shield allowed you to play Steam games on it entirely without streaming? It's pretty much Switch with PC games.
Fri Feb 17, 2017 2:48 pm
It has a store concept that is similar to PS Now, that was free for a period. As for steam games, i think more for shield TV, and requires pc with certain robust nvidia gpu.

I see I didn't know it was a pure streaming device.

I have the shield tv as well, and use it mainly for youtube and Kodi. Have never considered playing games on it. Haha

Think I better sell away my Vita and Vita TV asap.

Before you sell your vita, try the game called severed. Not bad. This is how you make a combat game utilising touch-screen.
Tue May 16, 2017 11:29 am
I'm sure there are other good games out there, eg Guacamelee, Severed etc, but I feel no point liao even if free, I think Sony themselves already abandoned it. Also barely have time to play PS4 as it is. And with the Switch out, the Switch looks superior to Vita. The only reason to keep a Vita would be potential trophies.

plus delicious fan-servicey games only available on vita.
